Friday after work, I called one of my best girls to see if she felt like hanging out after work. Gwen said she was game so I suggest Red Lobster for dinner. Since we both had things to do, we decided we’d meet at about 6:30 p.m. That later got pushed back to 7 and that’s when I suggested a different restaurant, China Buffet, which is one of my favorites.
That was even better for Gwen cause it’s closer to where she lives and she really needed to go home before she could meet up with me. Cool. I’d just head that way and wait for her at the restaurant. And when I arrived, that’s exactly what I ended up doing. That place was packed. Line was out the door and they said there was a 25 minute wait. Now in the grand scheme of life, I’ve lived in much larger cities so I know on a Friday night at a popular restaurant wait times in other places can be much longer, so to me, a nearly half-hour wait is not a big deal. But to folks here, a 25 minute wait is interpreted as eternity. One guy even looked at me and says “I hope you’re not really hungry.” I just smile cause this little wait ain’t enough to send me looking for another restaurant that’s likely to be just as crowed. So I gave the greeter my name, and commenced to waiting for a table while I waited for Gwen.

Here’s a do I came up with today and I actually tried a different moisturizer too. It’s called Texture My Way Curl Keeper Moisturizer Lotion. It’s made by Nature’s Best and is in their Organic’s line. So far I like it. It’s very similar to Proline’s Softener product, which I love but won’t use because it smells overwhelming like baby lotion. I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t want to walk around smelling like a baby. Since I layered it on top of the Proline Lite Creme moisturizer, I’m a little concerned about product incompatability, which can leave some nasty residue in your hair. So far I like the results, but the real test will come when I use it on clean hair. I’ll give y’all an update on the results the next time I wash my hair. As far as my do, I really like it, so I’ma wear it like this for a couple of days next week with a more casual hair clip. Then I’ll probably end up in a ponytail for the remainder of the week. As I look at these pics, I can really seen see my gray hair starting to pop out in the front. But I think it’s too soon for a retouch of my color. I really don’t want to stress my hair by overlapping color and risk overprocessing it, so I can live with the gray a little while longer. For a few more additional views, feel free to visit my fotki.
