Favorite NP Threads

If you’re a member of Nappturality.com, no doubt you’ve participated in or come across some very informative, fun, incredibly entertaining or even controversial topics that you’d like to keep track of and it ain’t all about hair. I know I do and well, these are mine. Added more for me to keep track of than for any other purpose. But if you see a topic you’d like to take a peak at…knock yourself out and click away.

    Hi Joelle,
I’m firm believer in understanding the WHY and HOW behind things. When we understand why or how of nappy hair science, it helps us to dispell myths and keep it real. This enables us to know our hair better and not expect it to do things it cannot possibly do. I think it also helps us appreciate and accept our hair better for what it is and helps us to work with what we have and not worry about what we don’t have.

I’m glad you enjoy coming my posts on NP and here on Nappturology 101. Hope you keep coming back. That’s why I’m here…to keep you well informed!

I am embracing my natural hair. I am learning how to take care of my own hair looking on different sites getting tips on homemade products and hair styles my concerns with my hair is it is very rough ,hard to comb when hair is wet, would like to learn to how to two strand twist closer to the root ,so when I attempt to wear a twist out you can see the coils. I am thinking about taking a hair course for two hours for a hundred dollars, but no need to front one hundred dollars is heavy on the pockets ,then I think I can surf the web and get the information free and at my fingers tips you learn by trail and error ,I am hoping for you to give me helpful hints thanks for everything.

      Hi Andrea,
Congrats on going natural. Feel free to read the hair care tip articles on my site to get you started. Also, You may want join some hair care boards…particularly Nappturality.com to get some ideas of how to comb, brush, shampoo, detangle moisturize and style your hair. Pay particular attention to information on products naturals use and ingredients naturals tend to avoid. These can all get you going in the right direction.

      Take care and good luck!

A long time ago there was a discussion about a cnapp that had loose hair that swept the floor. A picture was posted of her. I can’t remember if she was a dancer or an athlete. she was older and built. Can anyone help me with her name or where I can find her pic on the internet?

I would appreciate it. It was determined that she was a cnapp.
